Would you love to wake up every morning with perfectly shaped, filled brows? Then henna might be your holy grail eyebrow treatment. Henna is a semi-permanent stain treatment, just like traditional Indian tattoos, carefully applied in a shade and shape that suit you. Henna provides a tint for up to about four weeks, creating beautiful brows with no effort.
Henna works by staining your eyebrow hair and the skin underneath for a filled-in brow with depth. Especially if you have very pale or sparse eyebrows, henna will work well for you.
Because we can mix the right shade for what you’re looking for, we can darken your brows while still keeping them looking natural.
Here are the results you can expect from a henna brows treatment: Defined brow shape — Full-looking eyebrows — Tinted eyebrow hairs — Results that last for 2-4 weeks
At each of our Houston henna brow appointments, we begin with a consultation. You can tell us exactly what shape you’re looking for and how bold or natural you’d like your brows to look. We’ll begin with a threading treatment to shape your brows. Then, we mix a custom henna paste to match your hair color and desired darkness. If you’ve ever gotten a henna tattoo, the paste we use is quite similar, but with a broader range of shades to choose from. We’ll apply the dye to your eyebrow area and allow it to develop for about 20 minutes. Then, we’ll clean off the henna, leaving you with full, gorgeous brows.
Henna is a 100% natural dye made from a tree called henna, making it a great choice for clients with allergies or sensitive skin.
Henna and traditional brow tinting are very similar processes using different kinds of dyes. The main difference is that brow tinting sticks to the hair itself, while henna dyes both the hair and the skin beneath it. So if you have thin or sparse eyebrows, a henna treatment may be the right choice for you. You might also find henna to be a great alternative to a traditional tint if you’ve had a bad reaction to eyebrow tint dye in the past.
We will not apply henna dye (or perform any kind of eyebrow treatment) if you have any cuts, infection, or eczema in your eyebrow area. We’ll be happy to perform the treatment once you’ve healed. You should also not book this treatment if you’ve ever had an allergic reaction to henna in the past.
Most of our clients find that henna brows last for 3-4 weeks, but some enjoy the effects for up to 5 or 6 weeks. The dye will last longer if you have a dry complexion, and will fade more quickly if you have more oily skin.
